ITINERARY

Day 1 - Saturday We will pick you up from either Pau International or Toulouse Blagnac airport and transfer you back to our center in Luscan.  After settling into your room and building up the bikes we will go for a short 50 to 60km ride to check out the bikes on the rolling countryside of the Comminges.   Distance - 58km

Day 2 - Sunday After a short run before breakfast we head out to climb the Col De Larrieu and on to the Col Des Ares where we do a small individual TT to the summit just to check on progress.  We then go on to climb up to Mauléon Barousse for lunch.  Then as a bonus climb the Col de Mortis or descend back to the center.   Distance - 104km

Day 3 - Monday Long day today taking in the Col De Menté (below the ski station) and then into Spain to climb the Col du Portillon into Luchon for lunch in this beautiful spa town before heading back down the valley to home.  A short run to stretch the legs out before dinner.   Distance - 117km

Day 4 - Tuesday Swim session this morning before we head out through the Baronnies to experience the false flats of the area and just a few hills.  No major climbs after yesterday but good mileage in the legs.   Distance - 97km

Ascent - 1861m Rolling Countryside

 

Day 5 - Wednesday Day off from the bike today so we can head up the valley to see how far we can run, walk, crawl up the mountain to the Lac D'Or - crossing the snow falls on the GR10 is excellent fun.  Out for dinner in a local restaurant in the evening.    
       
Day 6 - Thursday Another long day crossing the comminges and up to the town of Arreau before climbing the Col De Perysourde.  Descending a few km down we turn right up to the ski station of the Perygourdes where will stop for a hot chocolate and lunch before heading down into Luchon and back home along the valley.   Distance -

Day 7 - Friday Final test of the week is a ride out to the Col De Portet d'Aspet, a short but steep climb, we turn around at the top to descend back to the base of the Col Des Ares where we will test ourselves on a repeat of the TT to the summit to see if all your hard work has paid off.

It is then back to pack up the bikes before we go out for our final meal to deal out the points in the King of the Mountains competition and the most improved rider.
